The Tourelles estate has a beautiful story. It was opened by the Frenchman François-Eugène Brun in 1968 and several generations have succeeded him, up until the death of Pierre-Louis Brun in 2000, with no children to pass the estate on to. It is Nayla Kanaan Issa-el-Khoury and Elie F. Issa, close family friends, who have ended up buying the estate back. The visit of the Tourelles quietly alludes to its past, whilst resolutely focusing on its future. All in keeping with this stunning trendy cellar that opened recently in Beirut and where you can enjoy all of the vineyard’s wines. The Financial Times dubbed it the “most seductive cellar in Lebanon” in 2011 and it remains one of the cornerstones of Lebanese wine production.
