Château de Bagnols

Like a fine wine, the Château de Bagnols has flourished through the ages. The historical site is a grand symbol of the Pierres Dorées region. In 1992, owners, Lord and Lady Hamlyn, transformed the Château into an elegant 5 star hotel and restaurant. Chosen by Tatler Magazine as one of the «101 most beautiful hotels in the world, » the Château de Bagnols is a haven of peace, rich in history. Each of the 19 spacious apartments is named after a famous person who contributed to the history of the castle. Thus, Madame de Sévigné, who stayed at the castle gives her name to one of the apartments. The china, glassware and linen were all designed especially for the Château de Bagnols based on eighteenth century prototypes. The venerable and grand character of the Château was maintained in the renovation.

Salle des Gardes, Château de Bagnols’ restaurant serves authentic and refined dishes, prepared by the chef using the fresh seasonal produce from the region. Dishes are accompanied with are accompanied with a great choice of Beaujolais, Bordeaux and Burgundy wines, personally paired by the sommelier.
