After a long period of restoration, the contrast between contemporary design and 17th-century castle covered with magnificent white stone is a clear success. Between Sarlat and Bordeaux, just minutes from Bergerac, Château Les Merles is located on the heights of the Dordogne river and offers a picturesque panorama. Activities are multiple for you to relax and make you discover the secrets of the region and local heritage: 9 hole golf course surrounded by vineyards and plum trees, yoga on the terrace, tennis, body treatments, and even cooking classes with Chef Bas Holten.
You can simply stroll along the “avenue” of chestnut trees that carry exploding flowers at spring time, enjoy the scents of lemon trees on the terrace or simply sing along with Jan van Grinsven who will be happy to accompany you with his accordeon.
