The journey to Nantes
Description
Let’s give a big round of applause to the « Blu » for receiving the chic and prestigious Hotel Property Award 2013. This prize was simply very well deserved.
The magnificent 19th century edifice, originally the Court of Law, has now become the Hotel in the city. Courtroom, Criminal Court, Courtroom Waiting Hall, verdict, cries and gnashing of teeth are now nothing more than old sighs and memories. Instead, since 2012 deluxe rooms and suites, lounges, a brasserie and a spa have upgraded with modernity this respectable architecture. The talented and creative interior decorator Jean-Philippe Nuel redesigned the hotel with style. Inside each room, the chocolate brown colours along with the selected whites intermingle with the shades and lights at daytime time as well as at night offering the most subtle contrasts. Nantes’ rich local artistic heritage is not left behind as each room proudly displays a piece of art on one of its walls. A little check on our cultural knowledge ! The dreadful Criminal Court gives way to celebration and greed. As in a nave, the restaurant ‘l’Assise’ invites you to a special journey through the land of regional gastronomy and culture as in a Jules Verne novel. At night, an explosion of colourful white, fuchsia and red carmine beams will stage the restaurant space for a warm design. Despite its impressive pillars, the Courtroom Waiting Hall has become a friendly lounge. A bar, the perfect urban space elegantly creates the connection between Place Aristide Briand and the « Blu ». This hotel is definitely one-of-a-kind in a city worth discovering the hidden interests. www.radissonblu.com/hotel-nantes |
